Easter Hope in Action Across Malawi

This Easter, God was powerfully at work among the children of Malawi. Over five unforgettable days, CFCM teams delivered Easter 5‑Day Clubs in five locations, proclaiming the Gospel through stories of lives radically turned around. Attendance soared, hearts were changed, and families noticed the difference — all made possible by committed volunteers who refused to let rain, distance or hardship stand in the way of reaching children with the good news.

Breaking Barriers: CFCM training manuals now in Tumbuka

In a landmark development for 2026, Children for Christ Ministry is expanding its reach by publishing training manuals in Tumbuka for the first time. As Malawi’s third major language—following the official languages of Chichewa and English—this translation marks a significant step in supporting ministry across the Northern Region.

Making Christmas Special

In past years, CFCM’s Christmas Outreach has taken place in one location and been organised and run by the staff team. But this year Elevate and Joseph wanted to give some of the volunteer trainers the challenge, the experience and the joy of making Christmas special for the children from their Bible clubs. The Christmas outreach budget was spread between 4 groups, from Phalombe in the southern region to Mzimba in the northern region.

Our busy office staff

Children for Christ Ministry is led by Elevate Mizinga and Joseph Jeke. They work out of the CFCM office in Blantyre and run several local Bible clubs. But they also travel throughout the whole country to deliver training and encouragement to children’s workers in every corner. Let’s find out what they have been up to in recent months.

The end of one journey, the start of another

On Saturday 15th March Esther Lipenga became CFCM’s first qualified volunteer trainer in Mangochi district. Her husband, her son and her pastor were present to witness her passing the final assessment as she trained 40 Sunday school teachers at Makawa, Mangochi.

Watching the teachers teach

On a Sunday morning in March, Rachel gathers the children under the trees outside the Well of Life Church at Tchoda to teach them God’s Word. Rachel completed her CFCM training last year, and she puts her training into practice as she tells her class the story of Zacchaeus and how the children need to confess their sins, submit to Christ’s will and allow Him to transform their lives.
