These are the words of CFCM team leader, Elevate Mizinga, looking back over the two days spent together with the volunteer team. The first CFCM Team Conference was a major milestone on CFCM’s journey to having a trainer in each of Malawi’s 28 districts.

The Word of God is described in Psalm 19:10 as “sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.” CFCM has first hand experience of extracting honey from the honeycomb.

Children for Christ Ministry is led by Elevate Mizinga and Joseph Jeke. They work out of the CFCM office in Blantyre and run several local Bible clubs. Always eager to achieve the best results, Children for Christ Ministry is focusing on how to improve the effectiveness of its training programme for Sunday school teachers. Creating opportunities for practical experience is one way being explored.

On Saturday 15th March Esther Lipenga became CFCM’s first qualified volunteer trainer in Mangochi district. Her husband, her son and her pastor were present to witness her passing the final assessment as she trained 40 Sunday school teachers at Makawa, Mangochi.

For the children of Chitakale Primary School, 11th December was a day to remember. They came to school as usual, but from 10am onwards, CFCM had something special in store for them.

CFCM’s vision is to bring CFCM’s Sunday School teacher training to all of the 28 districts of Malawi. It is less than 3 weeks since Elevate and Joseph returned to Malawi from the UK, but they have immediately got back into their training programme.

After 25 days in the UK, travelling over 2500 miles and spreading the news about their children’s ministry in Malawi, Elevate and Joseph are ready to head back home.
