The Word of God is described in Psalm 19:10 as “sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.” CFCM has first hand experience of extracting honey from the honeycomb.
After receiving training in bee-keeping, CFCM embarked on an income generating scheme producing honey. It is over a year since 10 hives were constructed and hung in a forest in Phalombe. Sadly the first year’s honey was lost due to vandalism, and the hives had to be relocated. But the Phalombe team have persevered, and a few weeks ago the first harvest of honey was made.
Praise God for for the harvest. Let’s pray for CFCM to find a regular market for the honey and for production to continue. This will contribute towards spreading the Gospel among children of Malawi and helping them to know that the Word of God is indeed even sweeter than honey!
